There is a very nice and clean swimming pool where our guests can cool down their bodies after the safari and can also relax on the terrace front of the pool to enjoy the sunshine. The Mole Motel rooms are of international standard and very clean with vast room space and king sizes beds, double beds and fully air conditioned rooms. There are also TVs, phones in the Motel.
Highlights / Activities include:
Walking Safari
Ghana Travel Guide is able to lead you up-close to savanna elephants, buffalos and other wildlife. Our guides are also very well educated about the park’s fauna and flora and are always available to share their knowledge with you. Our professional guides on walking safaris also allow you to discover some magical hidden places within the park. We advice our guests to wear appropriate shoes for the safari. Otherwise some will be available. Walking safaris last one to two hours and bird viewings may require extra hours.
Driving Safari
Our safari jeeps can take up to 8-9 guests including a driver and a tour guide. The jeeps are air conditioned and the open roofs allow our guests to experience the beautiful landscape and get clear views of the park’s elephants and wildlife. Our driving safaris take you further around the corners of the Mole National Park, where tourists may observe local animals and get in touch with nature!
Mognori Eco Village, Canoe Safari and Natural Shea Butter Processing
Our canoe safari is a unique adventure on its own, as we take our guests on a journey through the Mole River. Canoe safari is an excellent choice for bird watching, to see various local fish and monkeys. Also, join us for a once a life time experience to observe the king fisher birds hunting fish and watch antelopes swim across the lake. Don’t miss out on this either: a 20-25 minutes drive away from Mole Park, we take you to the north to get some rest and see the natural Shea Butter processing by the local women. This is an approximately one hour tour. Local drumming and dancing including a village walk and meeting the traditional medicine man are also an option.
Larabanga Ancient Mosque/ Mystery Stone/ Local Clendar
Our professional guides escort our guests to the famous and oldest mosque in Ghana and one of the oldest in West Africa. It was founded in 1421. With its great significant history, the mosque was declared a world heritage site. Pictures are allowed and our professional guides escort you to the mud houses and the round-round houses around the mosque, where you are on top of the roof to have an excellent cultural experience. You will be guided to a round house at the end point of the community, which is resided by a family, who are immigrants from Burkina Faso. While spending some time with them, you can see how they take fresh milk from cattle and make their local cheese!
Another interesting point of view is the Mystery Stone. Which happens to be a spiritual site and it is believed to grant wishes. While the stone stands on top of a tiny clay, the medicine tree is another great opportunity to learn about how more cures are coming from nature by the community.
