I'm your host and guide, George Appiah. I started Ghana-Travel-Guide.com to provide practical guides to help you effortlessly plan your trip to Ghana, and to make the best of your time while you're here.
I currently live in Accra, the capital of Ghana, but I grew up on a little cocoa farm tucked far, far away somewhere in the Western Region of Ghana. Being a native Ghanaian, I have first hand knowledge of whatever I write in this website, from both historical and cultural perspectives.
I had my first degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from this university. After my graduation in early 2002, I worked with these folks and these folks as an RF Planning & Optmisation Engineer... and in 2005 I quit my job and jumped aboard this ship from this great university to engage in year-long voluntary work with these nice people in this beautiful country.
Please note that while I am looking at doing so in the not-so-distant future, at this time I do not (and cannot) provide any guided tour services. Sorry to disappoint. But if you've got any question or you need my help to plan your visit to Ghana, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to help.
